We have a range of rooms and hireable space to suit the needs of any type of booking. Whether you need a space suitable for sports, dance, drama, yoga, choir, or something else we have a space suitable for you! Community groups and charities get a 20% discount on all rooms with the West Studios spaces.
Our standard meeting rooms are the perfect spaces to meet with clients or hold team away days. Each room comes with a computer, projector and free Wi-Fi. Layouts of the rooms can be changed to match your needs and refreshments and catering are available on request.
A space for conferences and shows…
The Studio Theatre consists of a centre stage with surround seating, backstage access, projector and professional lighting and sound. The space is ideal for dance shows, community theatre and touring shows, and business conferences.

Wanting to create some audio-based content? Our brand new recording facility Infirmary Records is now available to hire, boasting a 32inch audient inline mix console and custom built live space, there’s no better place to record your content. Perfect to record audio adverts, voiceovers, or your next musical release.

West Studios is a gallery, studio and meeting space situated on Sheffield Road, Chesterfield. We believe in being a space to drive creativity and business growth. We offer a contemporary and relaxed environment which is perfect for a range of events, workshops and networking activities. Along Came a Spider
A fun, interactive, storytelling performance.
Sid the Spider has been washed down the drain, and now he's lost! Luckily there are lots of familiar characters to help him home...as long as he avoids Simon the Spider Catcher! Games, puppets, music and movement, aimed at children aged up to 7, but all ages welcome!
Tickets- £5 per child (£3 per additional sibling). £1 per accompanying adult.

Youth Theatre Summer School
Three Plays, Three days'
3 days of workshops in which participants will develop a range of performance skills including physicality, script, devising, improvisation and movement. The group will work towards a short devised performance.
Suitable for ages 8 - 18. Attendees will be split into age groups during the summer school.

Life Through a Lens - an exhibition by Lindsay Parker
My exhibition is called Life Through a Lens it is an expression of things that inspire me.
From exploring in wales to monochrome, local landscape and animal photography the detailed landscapes as well as the small details and lighting in the photos are what I try to convey the beauty of that's so easily missed in daily life.
Monday 4th - Friday 22nd July. 10am - 4pm.
This Woman’s Work - an exhibition by Sue Dickins
Sue decided this year to exhibit her work for the first time at West Studios Chesterfield . She has been working on a number of new figurative oil paintings that will form part of the exhibition. This is a collection of portraits that each tell a story that she aims to portray through her painting rather than words; she uses different fabrics and clothing to do this. You can find out more about Sue in this blog post.
The Exhibition will take place from Monday 8th - Friday 26th August.

West Studios Open Exhibition 2022!
The Open Exhibition is a celebration of art in its many forms. Artwork that will be part of the exhibition will be a mix of mediums from various artists. The exhibition will run from 5th - 23rd September.
The official open evening for the exhibition will be on Thursday 8th September 6pm - 8pm.

Our ever popular Jazz Technique aims to further dancers training, focusing on dancing for fun, fitness and self improvement.
It is aimed at people with previous dance experience- whether you've danced throughout your childhood and are wanting to reintroduce yourself back to the dance world or whether you are a dancer working professionally in the industry wanting to maintain technique- we will accommodate to your needs.
It is ideal for dancers just wanting to dance without the added extra costs of shows and examinations.
