Exhibitions
Making Marks - An exhibition by Hunloke Art Group.
Making Marks is a unique eight-day exhibition showcasing the collective work of adult art students based at the Hunloke Centre in Chesterfield.
Monday 3rd - Wednesday 12th July. 10am until 4pm.
Colour Therapy, an exhibition by Jodie Grice.
Jodie Grice is a self taught, Sheffield based abstract expressionist painter. Working with colour and bold marks to express her response to mental health helps bring out happiness and peace within her work.
Her solo exhibition will be on display at West Studios from Monday 17th - Wednesday 19th July between 10am and 4pm.
Open Exhibition
It’s the final week to apply for West Studios’ annual OPEN EXHIBITION. Running throughout the month of September, the OPEN EXHIBITION is a celebration of art in all its forms. Successful artists will be required to pay a £20 submission fee.

Back 2 School - A comedy Improvaganza!
It’s time to head back to school in style. Gekkota Arts presents Back 2 School - an evening of improvised comedy with sketches put together with help from the audience.

Updates from the tenants
Chesterfield Children’s Festival, A Junction Arts Event
Junction Arts is delighted to announce that this summer we are launching our first Chesterfield Children’s Festival, a free weekend of fun for families that will include music, theatre, storytelling, dance, and art workshops.
The two-day event, which is funded by Arts Council England, will celebrate the joy of childhood, imagination, and play. It will take place in Queen’s Park on the 29th and 30th of July, bringing colour and excitement to Chesterfield during the summer holidays.
John King - Life Drawing Classes
A life drawing session with Chesterfield based artist John King. These classes run the first Thursday and third Tuesday of the month. To book onto these sessions please contact John directly by phone or email.
Dave Elsom of Sombrero Printmaking
As well as running group workshops, Dave Elsom, who is a tenant at West Studios, offers 1-1 lessons on various printmaking techniques. 1-1 sessions are £40 for 2.5 hours with all equipment and materials provided. Dave can be contacted via email at davidjelsom@hotmail.com.
